Mattia Papp is an artist born in Florence in 1993 and currently based in the Netherlands.
He graduated in 2017 from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (KABK), in the painting department.

In his work, Mattia combines Renaissance and Baroque aesthetics with contemporary themes and the emerging myths of the Western world. He employs a variety of techniques, including ceramics and video installations, alongside his physical artworks.
His artistic practice is marked by a deep exploration of materials and their manipulation. His narrative is rooted in a fascination with decadence and decay, natural history, mythology, and magical realism.
