Veena Advani is a Mumbai-based artist who creates abstract, mixed-media paintings exploring themes of identity, relationship, and the natural world through classical art and artisan technique. Known for her distinctive use of hand embroidery on canvas, Veena’s work bridges the worlds of fine art and textile design. Her signature technique reflects decades spent designing bespoke embellishments for renowned fashion houses in New York, including Pamella Roland, Marchesa, and Lanvin.

A graduate of Sir JJ School of Art, Veena began her career in interior and textile design before returning to painting on a full-time basis. Her richly layered compositions incorporate raw beading materials and classical embroidery methods, reimagined through a contemporary lens. The result is a body of work that is both tactile and ethereal—rooted in traditional craft, yet strikingly modern.
